Let’s be real for a moment here—is there anything more bland than a brown cardboard box? You might feel some excitement when you see one on your doorstep, but that’s often because you have no idea what’s inside it. We live in a world where a $1,000 dress and a $2 pair of used flip flops are delivered in the same boxes.

Manufacturers these days live in a world where their customer wants more for less, and they want it fast. They often have to make small or custom runs of products in a short amount of time. This is the cost of doing business today, but it can take a heavy toll on a manufacturer's packaging costs.

Void filler—we're not really fans of it. But we recognize that even the most sustainable packaging systems need at least a little bit of it. Sometimes we ship oddly-shaped objects that won't fit in a rectangular box. Sometimes we put multiple items in a box, inevitably leaving some empty space.
